5. If using buttercream, mix a variety of colors. Use a metal spatula to ice the cupcakes. Roll the edges in sprinkles.

6. Pipe a dot of buttercream on the underside of each chocolate bug to give it a high perch. Place the bugs on the cupcakes, pressing lightly to adhere.
